Prisca was born in Zanbia of South African
Parents. She went to boarding school in England, university in the USA (Kent State) where she received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She also spent some time in Italy studying with a group of prestigious architects "Supers Studio" Prisca came to Japan in 1986 after winning a U.N. fellowship and completed a one and a half year research at the U.N.C.R.D. in Nagoya . She then went on to complete a Masters Degree in Development Economics from Nanzan University in Nagoya. She currently teaches at Nanzan , aichishukutoku,and Chukyo universities,chikusa high school as well as teaching at Yamahaschool of music In addition to this ,she is a much sought after singer with weekly gigs at the Nagoya Hilton, Mulberry Hotel, and jazz and blues live houses in Nagoya . She also holds many concerts and shows and is in demand as a gospel and jazz singer in wedding ceremonies and parties. Prisca started singing at a very young age and appeared frequently on Zambia Broad Casting Services TV station while growing up. She also recorded a song,"I came to the Garden",on an album cut for the 50th Birthday celebration of the then president of Zambia , Kenneth Kaunda. Even as a student in Japan,Prisca sang regularly in jazz clubs. Her first CD was released in january 2000 and her second, produced by legenday jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela,is scheduled for release in 2003. In addition to singing and teaching, Prisca enjoys working out in gyms and holds a first-degree black belt in full contact KARATE. |
